Getting started with Job Feed Alerts
Why do I need job alerts?
PeopleWords users expect a lot of responsiveness from translators. Most responsive
translators get higher chances of job offer acceptance.
What are Job Feed Alerts?
Web feeds, such as RSS or Atom, are now well-established technologies. If you have
never heard of web syndication, you can consult the
wikipedia page on the subject.
PeopleWords Job Alerts are web feeds carrying out all the job offers that we receive.
By connecting to the PeopleWords feeds, you are aware of the new job offers without
constantly browsing our website.
How do I get the Job Feed Alerts?
You need a feed reader software. If you are using the
Firefox web browser, then you
already have a feed reader (see
John Bokma tutorial).
Many popular (and free) readers are available on
the web. If you do not have a feed reader, we would suggest
PeopleWords is not affiliated in any way with those products.
By using the feed reader of your choice, you will be able to register the PeopleWords feeds
from the Browse Jobs page.
Why not e-mail alerts?
Consider that dozens of job submissions can occur every day. Most of those job submissions
will be short-lived (a few days typically). Do you really want your mailbox filled
by hundreds of outdated job alerts?
